Black Creative Spotlight

Black Millennials as a unit have already begun to mold the image of Black Culture to become more representative of the heart and soul of our community. No longer can black culture be simply described as Rap music and sagging jeans. We as a unit defy the stereotypes while displaying all that we are and hope to become. Here in this section we showcase the actions of our Millennial Black Community both here in America as well as the African Diaspora.

PRESENTED BY LET’S DEFINE PROGRESS

The growth of Black Control and Participation in Entertainment has presented options not only for economic and financial gain, but also in displaying the abilities and power of the African Community across the globe. Individuals dominating the entertainment world like Oprah, Tyler Perry, Will Packer, Jay Z, and others in America are changing the narrative and re-imagining the possibilities available to our people. In Lagos, Nigeria the Nollywood Explosion has re-imagined the way in which African People can create and distribute their own entertainment. By embracing and supporting these individuals and organizations we are giving our children and theirs more opportunity to succeed.
