Domestic Policy Positions
Defunding & Demiliterazation of The Police Force
We genuinely appreciate the contributions of Police Forces across the nation. That being said, we also recognize the overutilization of the police force in matters that require a different approach and the correct temperament to deescalate.
Strengthening the position of Local Representatives
We believe that the citizen’s voice must be heard and represented. To empower neighborhoods we must empower the individuals that the people chose to represent themselves. We support allocating budget decisions and ordinance power to NPU representatives and the like.
Ending the War on Drugs
The war on drugs has been a success based on the intended goals of those who implemented it. It has lead to the incarceration of a significant portion of Black Males, it has created more government-dependent single-family homes, and it has hurt black economies.
Modernizing Father’s Rights
With a goal of equality, we support the equalization of parental rights for single parents. Our beliefs center upon the fact that what is best for children is having both parents equally available to them during their development when both parents are willing to do so.
Internet as a Right - City Provided Services
Did you know that cities and municipalities across the nation are providing internet services to their residents for free or reduced pricing? What about the fact that mega corporations are lobbying representatives to enact laws keeping this from happening?
Black LGBTQ+ Rights
In recognizing that there are Black members of LGBTQ+ community we stand committed to embracing that LGBTQ+ challenges and obstacles are similarly Black challenges and obstacles. We support the equalization of LGBTQ+ rights.
Eliminating or Reimagining Private Prisons
The 14th amendment abolished slavery within the United States “except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction”. We believe that the Private prison system as it exists today is an affront to the constitution that it draws its authorization from.
Polygamist Rights
The underlying factors in our support of polygamist rights is our support for Black & African women across America today. Although polygamy is outlawed in the nation today, many women are willingly a part of polygamist marriages but lacking the protections afforded to the legally married spouses.
Women’s Rights to Choose
Protecting the Poor From Gentrification
A common theme in the gentrification of many Black communities is that the poor benefit more from moving out. There’s a belief that the expulsion from their neighborhoods through economic annexation is a good thing for them. We support direct legislation that provides protections for Black homeowners in gentrifying neighborhoods.
$15+ Minimum Wage
In the year 1960 the minimum wage was $1.00. Adjusted for inflation, that number would be $10.52 in 2021. The minimum wage has not been raised since 2009 and the current plan for $15 wont be fully implemented until years after it’s passed. We support a plan that goes beyond $15 an returns minimum wage’s purchasing power to the level it was originally meant to be.
